A Glorious Day on Granite Mountain

This Wilderness Area is located less than a half-hour from Downtown Prescott and provides ample adventure so close to home. Our namesake is Granite Mountain for a reason, and the best way to understand why is to experience it for yourself!

Have you been in the Granite Mountain Wilderness and looked up at the shear walls, curious what it would feel like to stand on top of "The Flying Buttress?" Our Guided Trip to Granite Mountain will help you achieve that feeling, which so few have. This outing is not for the faint of heart, but it provides great rewards for those that persevere through this wilderness setting.

Common Trip Itinerary

Since there are a plentiful amount of great climbing routes at Granite Mountain, we work with our clients to create a personalized climbing trip that caters to their skillset and aspirations. This information will be discussed after final trip booking.

  • Introductions and greetings with brief of the day
  • Equipment checks and fitting
  • Approach to the climbing area​

  • Descend back to the trailhead
  • Return equipment and debrief the day

​There is no denying that this is a strenuous outing, guests will need to provide information of previous climbs that they have completed, or sign up for a 4-hour session to mitigate the risks associated with this area. Please inquire with any questions, thank you!

Trip Location

  • All rock climbing gear (harness, helmet, rock shoes, etc.)
  • Guiding and Instruction with an AMGA Certified Single-Pitch Instructor and Apprentice Alpine Guide or Apprentice Rock Guide
  • Supplemental equipment available upon request

  • Hotel costs before, during, or after the outing
