Queen Creek Guided Rock Climbing

A Quintessential Day in Queen Creek

Queen Creek climbing areas are located to the East of Phoenix, outside of the local area of Superior. It is the only area near Phoenix where you can climb on pockets and edges of volcanic tuff! This climbing area has gained popularity over the last several years due to a land exhange between Tonto National Forest and Resolution Copper Mine. As such, many of these climbs have been re-bolted and the approach/descent trails have been maintained. Between the months of October-April the local climate makes this area a treasure in the desert!

Many of the routes in Queen Creek are sport climbs on volcanic tuff, but there are plenty of great traditional routes in the area as well. The two main climbing areas of The Pond and Atlantis allow for all-day climbing, as they face different directions; so one can chase the shade or sun depending on the time of year!

Since there are a plentiful amount of great climbing routes in Queen Creek, we work with our clients to create a personalized climbing trip that caters to their skillset and aspirations.
