A Spirited Day on Sven Towers

​​The Sven Towers are made up of three separate towers that are all great for climbing! Sven 1 has plenty of easy to moderate traditional routes as well as a couple sport routs and even top rope access! Sven 2 has an iconic arete route that is a 5.6 traditional climb. And Sven 3 has the most routes out of the three towers so there are plenty of options both single and multi-pitch.
 
These towers are all East facing so there is nice morning sun and afternoon shade. So you can chase sun or shade depending on the time of year. Our general course offerings take place in the McDowell’s from November 1-May 1 and this area is a great spot for some winter afternoons in the valley.


Common Trip Itinerary

Since there is a plentiful amount of great climbing routes in The McDowell's, we work with our clients to create a personalized climbing trip that caters to their skillset and aspirations. This information will be discussed after final trip booking.

  • Guiding and Instruction with an AMGA Certified Single-Pitch Instructor and Apprentice Alpine Guide or Apprentice Rock Guide
  • Supplemental equipment available upon request

  • Transportation to Tom's Thumb Trailhead
  • Hotel costs before, during, or after the outing
  • Guide gratuity
  • Lunch food with Snacks & Water
  • Personal hiking/climbing clothing and equipment
