Prescott National Forest has a wide variety of climbing. The Granite Basin Crags hide in the towering Ponderosa Pines and have lots of climbing to offer. With a view of Granite Mountain through the branches most of these crags offer friendly approaches to cool and shaded climbing.
This area is less than a half-hour from Downtown Prescott and is perfect for a family day out, trying a new activity, or exploring a new part of Prescott. While Prescott National Forest has Peregrine Falcon Nesting Closures that prohibit some climbing areas, there are still crags that don’t fall into that closure. Join us for a day out in the infamous "Prescott Pines!" Common Trip Itinerary Since there are a plentiful amount of great climbing routes on in the Granite Basin, we work with our clients to create a personalized climbing trip that caters to their skillset and aspirations. This information will be discussed after final trip booking.
