A Golden Day on Gardener's Wall

Gardener's Wall is a climbing area located in the McDowell's, just outside of Scottsdale, AZ. This specific wall is home to several classics of the Sonoran Preserve, including both single pitch and multi-pitch climbs for climbers of all levels! The weather from late Fall to early Spring makes this area a true desert jewel.

Although this area is known for the traditional granite climbs, there are still plenty of sport routes to go around. Hanging Gardens is the highest rated multi-pitch climb on this wall: a traditional 2-pitch, 5.6 climb; great for both beginner and experienced climbers!

Common Trip Itinerary

Since there are a plentiful amount of great climbing routes in The McDowell's, we work with our clients to create a personalized climbing trip that caters to their skillset and aspirations. This information will be discussed after final trip booking.

  • Guiding and Instruction with an AMGA Certified Single-Pitch Instructor and Apprentice Alpine Guide or Apprentice Rock Guide
  • Supplemental equipment available upon request

  • Transportation to Tom's Thumb Trailhead
  • Hotel costs before, during, or after the outing
