Multi-Pitch Rappelling

Take your skills to the next level - learn to descend complex terrain with confidence and control. Multi-pitch rappelling introduces a new level of adventure and responsibility. In this 4-hour course, you’ll go beyond the basics and learn how to safely descend longer, more complex routes using multiple rope lengths and anchor transitions.

This is where rappelling becomes more than just a skill, it becomes a system. With guidance from our AMGA trained instructors, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing ropes, navigating transitions, and making sound decisions in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Learn
  • Building and evaluating rappel anchors
  • Rope management for multi-stage descents
  • Transitioning safely between rappel stations
  • Advanced backup techniques and redundancy
  • Problem-solving and hazard awareness in exposed terrain

What to Expect
We’ll start with a quick review of foundational skills before progressing to the wall. You’ll practice setting up rappels, descending multiple stages, and managing yourself and your system along the way.

Who This Is For
  • Climbers with basic rappel experience
  • Participants of our Single Pitch Rappelling Course
  • Adventurers looking to expand into more technical terrain

Why Take This Course
