Arizona Outdoor Adventure Skills Day Camp for Kids | Prescott, AZ

Granite Mountain Guides' Outdoor Adventure Camp is a five-day, hands-on skills program designed to help kids ages 6–14 build real confidence in the outdoors. Campers learn how to plan and pack for an adventure, navigate using maps and landmarks, respond to basic first aid situations, and practice Leave No Trace principles, all in the natural setting of Prescott, Arizona. The week culminates in a guided hike and introductory rock climbing experience in the iconic Granite Dells.

This isn't just summer camp. It's where kids learn the skills to explore Arizona safely and confidently.

TWO-CAMP SECTIONS:
Two Age Groups. One Great Week.

Explorers Camp | Ages 6–10 July 6–10, 2025 (8am-3:30pm daily)
Built for younger adventurers, Explorers Camp emphasizes games, visual learning, and simple hands-on skills. Campers work through the same core themes as our older group: packing, navigation, first aid, and Leave No Trace principles, with activities and challenges sized just right for their age. The week wraps up with a guided hike and intro climbing experience in the Granite Dells.

Adventurers Camp | Ages 11–14 July 20–24, 2025 (8am-3:30pm daily)
Adventurers Camp is designed for older kids who are ready to take on real responsibility outdoors. Campers rotate through leadership roles each day: navigator, safety officer, gear manager and tackle scenario-based decision making alongside more advanced skill work including compass navigation, basic wilderness first aid patient assessment, and climbing concepts. The week finishes with a full Adventure Day in the Granite Dells.
