Step away from the everyday and into a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience designed for fathers and daughters to connect through adventure. The Granite Dells of Prescott offer the perfect setting for a meaningful climbing date that blends challenge, encouragement, and beauty.

With over 600 climbing routes, the Granite Dells are ideal for climbers of all ages and experience levels. Routes are generally shorter, making them approachable and confidence-building, while still delivering a true sense of accomplishment.

Many climbs are just a short 10–20 minute walk from the car, so more time is spent climbing, laughing, and celebrating wins together.

Some of the most special routes rise directly above Watson Lake, offering breathtaking views and plenty of “look where we are!” moments. It’s the kind of place where encouragement matters, trust grows, and shared success feels extra sweet.


A typical experience includes:
  • Meeting at a scenic Granite Dells trailhead
  • Warm introductions and a relaxed overview of the day
  • Gear fitting and safety checks (we provide everything you need)
  • A short, easy walk to the first climbing area
  • Guided climbing with coaching, encouragement, and celebration
  • A chance for your daughter to (safely) belay you! Always a treat!
  • Moving to a second nearby climbing area for more climbs and confidence
  • A scenic walk back to the trailhead
  • Gear return and a thoughtful end-of-day reflection

Whether it’s her first time on real rock or a shared passion you already love, this Father/Daughter climbing date is about more than climbing—it’s about showing up for each other, building confidence side by side, and creating a story you’ll both tell for years to come.



Trip Location

INCLUSIONS
  • All rock climbing gear (harness, helmet, rock shoes, etc.)
  • Guiding and Instruction with an AMGA Certified Single-Pitch Instructor and Apprentice Alpine Guide or Apprentice Rock Guide
  • Supplemental equipment available upon request

EXCLUSIONS
  • Transportation to Prescott, AZ
  • Hotel costs before, during, or after the outing
  • Guide gratuity
  • Lunch food with Snacks & Water
  • Personal hiking/climbing clothing and equipment
  • Costs associated with weather delays or other variables beyond the control of Granite Mountain Guides
