A Traditional Day on Thumb Butte

Thumb Butte Guided Trip

Thumb Butte provides another climbing destination unique to the local Prescott area. A Butte that protrudes out of the ground for over 100 ft. on all sides and has nearly 100 routes around it to choose from. This area can be seen basking in the evening sun while looking West from the Historic Downtown area.

With a short drive and an average approach time of under an hour, you'll be enjoying the classic basalt climbing routes that this area has to offer in no time. Similar to Granite Mountain, these routes have a good adventurous aspect, but are less committing due to the nature of the single-pitch environment.

This Guided Trip is unavailable between February 1st-July 15th for Peregrine Falcon Nesting Closures. Thank you for your understanding.
