Introduction to Lead Climbing Course

Introduction to Lead Climbing Course

You’ve been able to get outside with friends and family  and enjoy time climbing on routes at the crag that they've set up for Top-roping. Now you're ready to take your skills to the next level and learn "How DO they get the rope up there if there is no hiking access to the top?" - so that you too can venture off on your own and safely climb new and adventurous routes.

Our single-day Introduction to Lead Climbing Course is designed for those who have had the opportunity to climb outdoors. It is all-encompassing and starts off with the fundamentals of bolted Top-rope anchors and then proceeds into sport climbing technique. From there it finishes with the necessary skills to either rappel or lower back to the ground and retrieve your rope at the end of the day at the crag.

If you have only climbed extensively in the climbing gym environment, please look at our Gym-to-Crag Course.
